SO I just pulled my credit report and have NEVER seen or heard of this company. Palisades is reporting for "Citibank" whom I have NEVER had an account with. I have done my research and noticed that mostly everyone else's complaints are through AT & T or some sort of wireless service.

Currently I have attempted to call Several times and this is what happened:

1st: Got hung up on!

2nd: On hold for over 21 minutes - Finally got through to a supervisor (Christen). She requested my social several times, which I failed to give her. While continuing to go back and forth on hold and off. Because I refused to give her my social she said she could not help me. She suggested that I file a dispute. Which is what I am doing now!

Good luck to everyone else!

Joy - Texas

Monetary Loss: $413.

Location: Plano, Texas

I started getting letters from Palisades Collection this year for a PAID verizon bill from several years ago. My guess is that they have old debts that have been paid, but which they're trying to collect on.

I'm going to contact the Better Business Bureau in NJ to find out what they know about them. The strange thing is that when you call you NEVER get a person on the phone, but they ask for your social security, and the letter tells you a lot of ways you can pay the bill.

FISHY and ILLEGAL!!! They won't get one dime from me, and I'm going to report them.

In September 2012 I received a letter in the mail from Palisades Collections L.L.C., asking for $84.97 for a Verizon account. I haven't been with Verizon for over a year so I was confused to receive the notice.

I had my technician call the number provided for Palisades and he told me almost immediately that he thought something was off, in that the first thing that happens when you call their number is a request for your SSC. Steer clear of Palisades Collection, L.L.C., it's a nasty business

Is this company Palisades Collection a real company should I pay the bill. :x

I just received a call from these same people saying I owe money when I settled that debt about two years ago for an AT&T account. They are trying to get more money out of me and I kindly said, *** NO. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB or someone because this is totally ridiculous and they are NOT going to ruin my credit history.

I would be interested in going forward with others in a complaint against them. I do not even have an account with Verizon, and they are billing me.

I am writing them the 1st letter now asking for verification under FDCPA and USC 15 USC 41(5) ร‚ยง1692(g) including the name and current address of the creditor, the contract, signed that authorizes them to represent and collect the debt, the signed contract between the debtor and the creditor along with the entire account financial history from the inception through this \"current\" balance and giving them ten days to respond, I copied the Office of Consumer Affairs in Bergen County NJ, and the FTC (online complaint form); and I am getting an attorney. I really have never had an Verizon account at all. I can be reached at var prefix = 'ma' + 'il' + 'to'; var path = 'hr' + 'ef' + '='; var addy52828 = 'shampton_rose' + '@'; addy52828 = addy52828 + 'ymail' + '.' + 'com'; document.write( '' ); document.write( addy52828 ); document.write( '' ); if anyone else is going to bring complaints.. because I really don\'t know how to fight this without a bill at all.

is it going to be he said she said.. / c\'mon government..

they have been prosecuted in court before and moved to other states.. why are they still in business?

I really think these guys should be put out of business! I just got my very own assault (bill) from them for a Verizon number.

I have never had a Verizon account. Now, how do you dispute a bill that doesn't exist?!? If I get reported for not paying a debt, I will loose my job..

that is a huge damage. I am getting an attorney.

I just received a letter from a law firm, Protas Spivok and Collins, LLC, supposedly acting for Palisades Collection LLC, trying to collect a debt of 953 dollars or so, supposedly created by someone I have never heard of. I tried to contact the law firm several times to alert them to the fact they have the wrong address, and it was very difficult to use their automated system. I guess I will just return the letter to them since I cannot even get in touch with them.

Been fighting Palisades for years . .

To clean credit I paid there scam AT&T bill off out of an escrow by an escrow agent . . . AT&T debt never came off my credit reports and two years later they were coming after me to collect the debt I paid off .

. . I call them about my account and they can't even find it on half the times I call . .

. get hung up on all the time . . .

now (real) supervisor or people of authority will help you they just demand the money . . . NEVER PAY THEM AND IF YOU GET THEM AFTER YOU JUST FACE THE FACT THAT UNLESS YOU SPEND THOUSANDS OF $ TO CLEAR A $400 PROBLEM IT WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!!

PAYING DOES NOT STOP THEM! :(

My other half just called AT&T who this company claims she owes them through. AT&T rep took their information, called them, and they refused to talk to her. The AT&T rep's exact words was do not pay them.

Good luck trying to get through the automated system let alone getting info from Pallisades. Well, unless of course you are willing to give them more info to harrass you with.

A note to Pallisades: You tried your best through 1.) constant harassment

2.) making one claim look like multiple claims,

3.) submitting claims that indicated a deliquency on a new account even though the account was opened 8-9 years earlier.

Sorry pallisades but, I had two reporting agencies throw your claim out. I rode out the waiting period & the claim expired and yes... despite your best efforts I have an excellent credit rating. Two of the three agencies picked up on the fact that you tried to re-submit a 2001 claim as new in 2009. The other agency required a mailing and BAM... You were deleted! P.S. Try anything else and I will stop at nothing to make you pay financially as it will become my #1 goal in life. mdmeili@***.com

I have had a 10 year struggle with pallisades regarding bogus roaming charges from AT&T. I sent certified mailing requesting them to validate the debt.

They signed for it but did not respond. I took a hit for years on my credit and finally after it was expired though the three reporting agencies Pallisades re-submitted the alleged debt as a new claim (like it was a brand new debt)resetting the clock for another 7-8 yrs or whatever the statute is. I managed to get the reporting agencies to drop it but they cost me serious time and money in the form of getting on-line credit help and higher interest on loans for years. I probably had 40+ hrs into phone time fighting the bogus claim.

If anyone wants to sue there pants off count me in as I retained all my submitted docs which I had them sign for. One very corrupt & unethical company.

Palisades has been trying to collect a 10 year old debt of my husband's that was written off years ago. They'll be silent for a while and then pop back up.

They've gotten very aggressive and somehow found my work cell number and the automated system is some threatening lady. Little do they know that the statute of limiations in the state where I live is 4 years.

Good luck to them on trying to collect. What a sham!

Guest

same problemo, I am receiving a letter from Northland group INC and when I call them, they say they already sent the account to some Palisades collection and might I add, I Owe nothing at Heilig Meyers""""""""""", I asked the company Northland how to get in touch with the other company and they said, look it up on the enternet

Guest

I've received a phone call everyday for the past three weeks from Palisades Collections. They provide a name that is incorrect and then give a reference number.

Called the company to explain they had the wrong person, but call immediately went to a message asking for my social. I called back three times and pressed "#" and someone picked up and I explained the situation. They kept asking for my social.

I filed a complaint with the "No-Call Registry" because it's a recorded call and filed a complaint with the NJ BBB and the FCC. It's definitely a scam this company is running and after reading some other articles they possibly are connected to some organized crime.
