Palisades Collection complaint
I need a working telephone number to contact this company regarding an outstanding collection. The tele#'s are: 800-873-5648, 866-230-8094, and 866-414-8319. These numbers constantly ring busy throughout the day or is no longer in service. i am pissed about this company and their poor customer service. shame on them.

I am trying to fix my credit and resolve some issues but cannot due to no contact representation for this dumb a** company. this is a reason why people get frustrated with their credit report it is an awful wa to do business and this company should be put out of business, period!!

We are getting ready to send a Quick Collect for a "Settlement" on an account, the amount we are sending is over $ 2000.00 Now I am not sure if we should send the money for fear of not getting the correct credit reporting, "Settled in Full" as promised. Any idea's what to do?

This was to be done by tomorrow afternoon 6-20-08.

Any ideas please e-mail

They assigned a different telephone # to everyone from which they attempt to defraud. You must go to the authorities and file fraud complaint against that company. The are big companies that cooperate with Palisades to make their fraud appear real. BEWARE AND SCREAM LOUDLY

I saw Palisades on my collection report for a Verizon account. I couldn't get through on the number listed and after reading the boards I called Verizon. They verified they had sold the account and gave me the following number: 800.873.5648. I called it and was able to get a person and pay the debt that was owed over the phone. Hope this helps. :)

i just got a statement of collections for an account i havent had for over 4 years...for verizon...they claim i owe 154 dollars but i had had the phone number for a year after that so called 154 dollars was ever reported to them...and basically what they do is pay it and then claim that you owe it to them...but in my case i paid that 154 after the fact and continued to pay my phone bill for a year and i asked the lady why isnt it on my credit report...she says our statute of limitations is up and cant report it to the credit bureau..but its 5 years later so i dont even think they can take me to court for it even if i did owe it...and i didnt bc i paid that debt to verizon in order to keep my phone active while i was staying at my place of residence so theoretically they cant do anything about it they are a fraud

In California when a collection company or any business, calls you more than one time with in a 24 hour period. It is called harassment. If you file a small claim case in small claims court, for about $35. They can and will be fined up to $500 for this act. Of course you must appear in said court! But sometimes they do not show up. And if they do not show up, the court will find in your favor. Which means that you will most likely get you dept discharged and or they “the harassing party “will get a $500 fine. The legal system can be on your side, if you let it!

Try 1800-991-9367. They just showed up on my credit report and list this as the number. I haven't tried it yet.

Real easy.....pick up phone call your state attorney general, tell them this co. has reported you to credit bureau negatively, and you are trying to rectify the situation. Explain what is going on. You should hear from them pretty quickly. Good luck. Collection agencies respond quickly to Attorney General queries, and hate to hear from the A.G. Usually means they are going to get a fine.......they shake, rattle, and roll, then.

Good source on how to deal w/collection agencies is E book
