Palisades Collection complaint
This company keeps calling my house late, especially on weekends, with some automated crap that I cannot do anything about. It constantly wakes our children. I call the number they leave during business hours and I have told them numerous times that the person they are looking for is not here. I have no idea who the person is they're looking for or how my number got mixed up in this, but it's becoming harrassment. They are rude, they hang up and call right back and it doesn't stop...and we aren't even the people they want!

They contacted me about someone else's debt. I did not have the same first name of the person they needed, but I had the same last name. I asked them to send me proof of the debt, the co.owed to and all the information. They never sent it to me. I contacted the Attorney General's office where I live, OH. After the Attorney General's Office contacted them I haven't heard from them since. I also contacted all three credit reporting agencies of possible identity theft. I have no idea of the person who really had the debt and how they got my name, address etc. The lesson I learned don't contact them by phone and by mail only, returned receipt, and contact proper agencies that can help you. Do not pay for a debt that is not yours, and from what I have read people pay the debt thinking they will go away. They won't. Keep all records of credit cards current and the ones you have paid off. Some people think they may have really owed the debt and had forgotten about it. Have them prove the amount owed. This co. will go after people who don't really owe the debt. This co. is bad news.

This is happening to me, too! This happens every day! I have no debt so I am sure this is the wrong house. I just got a new phone number so I am sure that it used to belong to someone else. It is very frustrating!

Sorry...no advice here...just another complaint.

8) Get there fax number and submit a request in writing. Advise to them if they do not stop calling you have intent on suing them for harrasment. Put it in writing they will stop becuase they dont want to be sued at all. They want to collect money.
